Building My Future

My story

Building My Future

Building My Future is very important to me. I hope that one day I won’t have to worry about my next job or paycheck. My goal is to be financially independent, and this isn’t only for me but also my family. I want to show my children that anything is possible when you put your mind to it. I am a trim carpenter by trade, and it pays the bills. Having over 25 years of various construction jobs, with many years as a laborer. I can do many different things when it comes to building a house. I have ten years in landscaping, and that’s hard work. Pushing wheelbarrows is not fun.

I sold mortgages in the early 2000’s, and I made a good living with that. When the market crashed in 2008 it left me looking for new ways to make money. I went back to construction and have been doing it ever since in some way shape or form.

In between and during the construction jobs I work and worked in restaurants also. I did this for many years at a time working at least two jobs with the hope of gaining some kind of financial independence, but only to find myself still living paycheck to paycheck. Even now have a night gig. I clean one of the branches of my local library and a salon suit twice a week. This came to be because of work becoming very slow. I had to do something to make some kind of money. Linking up with a buddy of mine we are dabbling in home remodeling. With my 25 years experience and his 35 years of experience, deciding to combine our knowledge to start a remodeling business. We are having success with the remodeling, and our hope is to make this business very profitable.
